The good news is that CITY ZOO an unfairy story received a great review from Kirkus. The bad news is the review takes a bad turn at the end. Curiously, the reviewer makes little mention of the MONKEY MEDIA — who are the obvious antagonists throughout the story. My suspicion is that the reviewer is one of those who will never profess anything positive about the elephant character, no matter what—likely because the reviewer’s “friends” and colleagues in the high-powered world of publishing would respond with harassment, ridicule, or cancelation, or all three. OR…the book really REALLY is great until the Brandon character is introduced in CHAPTER 25 and then it’s tedious. Could be. You be the judge.
